Vhi release Teachers Plan and Nurses Plan 01.03.2010

Two new plans will be released by Vhi on 1 March 2010. These plans will be offered from 1 March to 31 March 2010 only.

The Teachers Plan and Nurses Plan (€772.22 each for an adult) both give cover for a private room in a private hospital. There is a €4,000 maternity accommodation grant.

Vhi have announced that all new and renewing company plans will see price increases on 1st March that average 7%.

On 1st March 2010 Vhi will change the out-patient excess on Company Plan Starter and Company Plan Plus Select from €1 to €25 per person.

On 15^th February Vhi released Company Plan Plus Level 1.2. This plan gives cover for a semi-private room in a private hospital with a €75 excess per private hospital claim.

Quinn Healthcare released two new plans on the 1st February 2010; Company Care Plus and Company Care Choice.

Company Care Choice (€660) gives cover for a semi-private room in a private hospital with a private hospital in-patient excess of €50/€125.

Vhi released WellPlus 1 Excess (€690) on 29th January 2010. This plan provides cover for a semi-private room in a private hospital with a €75 private hospital in-patient excess. There is a €3,500 maternity grant. Day-to-day benefits carry a €1 excess and are mostly maternity oriented.

On the 1st February 2010 Vhi changed the out-patient excess on all Lifestages plans, excluding First Plan Starter and First Plan Extra, from €1 to €25. Hi-tech hospital benefits were increased on First Plan Plus Level 1 and 2 and also on Family Plan Plus Level 1 and 2.

Vhi have announced that they will be increasing their premiums by an average of 8% across their core A-E plans and Lifestages plans on the 1st of February 2010. Company plan prices are not changing on the 1st February 2010.

Hibernian Aviva Health has reduced the price of its Hospital Plan Level 2, Hospital Nurses Plan Level 2 and Hospital Teachers Plan Level 2 for contracts commencing between 28th December 2009 and 27th January 2010. The reduction is €70 per adult .
