Vhi Healthcare will increase the premiums of Company Plan Plus Level 1.2 on 15 May 2012. Adult premiums will increase from €1,035 to €1,060 per adult.

Teachers plan will increase from €1,051.67 per adult to €1,122.22 per adult.

With effect from 17 June 2012, Aviva Health will provide student rates up to age 21 across all plans, where previously student rates were provided up to age 23.

Aviva Health will provide a new benefit called ‘Back Up' on all its hospital and combined plans on 16 May 2012. This benefit provides a free physiotherapy consultation and should a treatment programme be required, the consumer will pay a once off fee of €50 and the remaining treatment sessions shall be free.

Quinn Healthcare change of underwriter and rebranding 01.05.2012

Quinn Healthcare policies will, from 1 May 2012, be underwritten by Elips Insurances Limited rather than by Quinn Insurance Limited (under administration).

Existing Quinn Healthcare customers who renew after 1 May 2012, will transfer to Elips Insurance Ltd.
