Laya Healthcare Price & Benefit Changes 01.12.2021

Laya Healthcare have announced 2 price changes as of 01.12.2021: 

  • Simply Health Plus will increase from €1327.91 to €1373.75 per adult and from €415.60 to €431.07 per child. Young adult rates will also increase on the plan.
  • Total Health Extra will decrease from €1786.32 to €1748.12 per adult and from €484.10 to €472.97 per child. Young adults rates will also decrease on the plan.

Several benefit changes will take place for new and renewing members from 1st December on the following schemes:

ExcelCare

i. Neurodevelopment Assessment Benefit - Adults will now be covered for 75% of costs up to €750 per lifetime. ii. Benefits for Acupuncture, Osteopath, Chiropractor, Physical Therapy, Reflexology and Homeopathy will now be allowed for 12 visits each and no longer have the restriction of the combined cap of 36 visits. iii. Treatment not available in Ireland will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. iv. Medical Tourism will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. v. Gender Reassignment Surgery Abroad will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. This benefit will also increase to €100,000.

 

SimplyHealth Plus

i. Treatment not available in Ireland will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. ii. Medical Tourism will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. iii. Gender Reassignment Surgery Abroad will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. This benefit will also increase to €100,000.

Prime

i. Treatment not available in Ireland will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. ii. Medical Tourism will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. iii. Gender Reassignment Surgery Abroad will now be available worldwide and no longer restricted to the EU. This benefit will also increase to €100,000

Total Health Extra

i. Gender Reassignment Surgery Abroad benefit will increase to €100,000
