Laya Healthcare Price Changes and Benefit Updates as of 01.12.2022

Laya Healthcare will carry out a price increase on the ExcelCare and SimplyHealth Plus, full details can be found in the excel spreadsheet at the bottom of the page below. 

ExcelCare will have the following changes:

• Homebirth/hospital charges for delivery will increase to €4,000
• Maternity outpatient consultation benefit will increase to €1,000
• Post natal home nursing benefit will increase to Up to €1,500 for 2 nights home nursing & up to €800 for 1 night home nursing
• Antenatal/midwifery benefit will increase to €200 per pregnancy
• Paediatric first aid will increase to €100 per year
• Benefit for maternity yoga/pilates will increase to €100
• Benefit will be added for 3D/4D scans up to €200 per pregnancy
• The benefit for childhood developmental assessment will increase to €1,000
• Benefit will be added for play therapy, 75% of costs for 8 visits
• Benefit will be added for gender affirmation support up to €5,000 per lifetime
• Benefit will be added for laser eye surgery up to €200 per eye
• Benefit will be added for adult vaccinations up to €50
• There will no longer be a limit on visits for speech and language therapy
• The benefit for neurodevelopment assessment will increase to €1,000
• Benefit will be added for Vasectomy, up to €500 per lifetime
• Benefit will be added for IUS - Device, up to €125 per year and IUS - Procedure, up to €200 per year
• Benefit will be added for the Menopause Support Package up to €500 per year

SimplyHealth Plus will have the following changes:

• Daycase excess for Private and Hi Tech Hospitals will now be €75 per claim in all hospitals
• Inpatient excess for Private and Hi Tech Hospitals will now be €125 in all hospitals and is payable twice per member per year
• Benefit for digital dietician, digital physiotherapy and GP live will be unlimited
• The number of visits for speech and language therapy will increase to 12
• Benefit will be added for Vasectomy, 50% up to €250 per lifetime
• Benefit will be added for IUS - Device, 50% up to €100 per year and IUS - Procedure, 50% up to €150 per year
• Benefit will be added for the Menopause Support Package up to €250 per year

 Prime will have the following changes:

• The number of visits for speech and language therapy will increase to 12
• The number of visits for occupational therapy will increase to 12

All changes will apply to new and renewing customers as of 01.12.2022
