Laya Healthcare price reduction and benefit changes 01.12.2018

Laya Healthcare will apply a price reduction across 8 plans (Company Care (No Excess), CompanyCare Plus, Connect Care, Control 300 Create, Simply Health Plus, Total Health Complete 175, Total Health Extra and Total Health Plus) from 1 December 2018. Net adult premiums will reduce from -1 to -16%. The full list of price changes can be found .

Laya Healthcare will also change the benefits of 5 plans on 1 December:

CompanyCare No Excess

• The Beacon Hospital will be covered as a Private Hospital rather than a Hi-Tech hospital.
• The Infertility Benefit will be increased to be claimable twice per lifetime.
• The benefit for Maternity Consultations will increase from €400 to €500.
• The benefit for Pre and Post Natal expenses will be increased from €275 to €385.
• Full cover will be allowed for 2 HSE out of hours GP visits.
• GP live consultations will increase to 6 per member.

Total Health No Excess

• The Beacon Hospital will be covered as a Private Hospital rather than a Hi-Tech hospital.
• The Infertility Benefit will be increased to be claimable twice per lifetime.
• The benefit for Maternity Consultations will increase from €400 to €500.
• The benefit for Pre and Post Natal expenses will be increased from €275 to €385.
• GP live consultations will increase to 6 per member.

Total Health Extra

• Private Hospital cover will be changed to cover a semi private room, a nightly shortfall of €110 per night will apply for a private room.
• The Infertility Benefit will be reduced to be claimable once per lifetime.

ConnectCare

• The 24/7 Mental Wellbeing and Support Benefit will be increased to allow 6 face to face/video/phone counselling sessions per presenting issue.

ConnectCare 150

• The 24/7 Mental Wellbeing and Support Benefit will be increased to allow 6 face to face/video/phone counselling sessions per presenting issue.

These changes apply to all new and renewing customers from this date.
