Vhi Healthcare have announced a price change across 40 plans as of the 1st of May 2022

Vhi have announced the launch of two new plans as of the 1st of May 2022
EnhancedCare 350 will start at €874.08 per adult and €188.34 per child. Young adult rates will apply on the plan
EnhancedCare 350 Day-to-Day will start at €947.32 per adult and €249.23 per child. Young adult rates will apply on the plan

The following Benefit Changes will apply as of the 1st of May 2022
Inclusion of new ‘Vhi 360 Health Centre’ benefits to all of our plans in line with our new flagship health and wellness facility which opened in Carrickmines on 23rd February 2022.
Carrickmines introduces a new model of care that takes a holistic view of the patient and includes all aspects of their health including physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. To support the opening of the building and this new model of care we have introduced a new benefit structure that streamlines the benefits for our existing services and supports a seamless customer journey into our Multidisciplinary team.
Benefits include the below:
Vhi Core Services Full cover-Subject to an excess of €50 or €75 per visit for the following
Urgent Care
Paediatric Clinic
Vhi 360 Health Clinics
Health Screening (Cover for a specified screening package; HealthCheck@Home or HealthCheck or HealthCheck Enhanced or HealthCheck Executive once in a 24 month period)
Personalised follow-up package full cover following referral from one of the above Vhi Core Services. The package will include recommended sessions such as Health Coaching, Psychotherapy, Yoga or Pilates. A limit of 3-6 visits per referral applies to the applicable plans.
Additional follow on visits/care in a Vhi 360 Health Centre covered as per below:
Consultant and Specialist led care - Full Cover subject to an excess of €50 or €75 per visit
Primary care practitioners - Full Cover subject to an excess of €25 per visit
Vhi 360 Health Centre diagnostics (X-ray & Ultrasound) following GP referral
Full Cover subject to an excess of €50 or €75 per visit
Please note that in order to provide the new benefit structure listed above a number of existing benefits are being retired:
Vhi SwiftCare minor injury clinic; Initial consultation and Follow-up treatment package after this consultation
Vhi SwiftCare appointment services; Consultant consultation (orthopaedic, oral maxillofacial & sports medicine) Dental practitioner & Physiotherapist
Vhi paediatric clinic; Initial Consultant consultation and Follow up paediatric treatment and services after this consultation
Lifestage screening programme in a Vhi Medical Centre, Screen Essential, Heart check & Cancer check in a Vhi Medical Centre
Removal of Vhi Screening HealthCheck@Home from 10 plans. Please see attached CR for Product Architecture Plans.
Removal of 24/7 Mental Health Support Benefits from 8 plans. The benefit included Full Cover for telephone or face-to-face counselling with a limit of 6 calls/visits per issue, per calendar year. Please see attached CR for Product Architecture Plans.
Removed from PMI 38 14 - Emergency care treatment in an approved Vhi Swiftcare Clinic for a sports injury
Inclusion of additional ‘Digital Health Services’ benefits across our portfolio of plans.
Online Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Dietitian. These services can be accessed via the Vhi app. There will be a combined visit limit for the 3 services with limits ranging from 3 to 12 visits per renewal year on the applicable plans.
Inclusion of new Ambulatory Care cover within Level 1 & Level 2 ‘Day Hospitals & Centres’ to 16 plans. Benefits range from 75% to full cover across the applicable plans.
Benefit enhancement for Mammograms. Previously claimable once in a twenty four month period, Mammograms will now be available to members once per renewal year across the applicable plans. We have also extended direct pay arrangements to non-screening Mammograms in our list of approved Mammogram centres.
PremiumCare
Inclusion of a new Direct-Pay Cardiac CT Scan benefit. Members will have Full Cover for an out-patient Cardiac CT scan following a consultant referral to one of our approved facilities.
STI Screening, Accident & Emergency benefit & Psychologist benefit are no longer subject to an annual Section Max of €2,000 or an annual Section Excess of €1
Please note members insured on PremiumCare will also receive the new Digital Health Services Vhi 360 Health Centre benefits (changes 1 & 2 listed above), and the inclusion of a new Direct-Pay Cardiac CT Scan benefit effective 01st May 2022, i.e. they don’t have to wait until their next renewal date.
PMI 06 10
Inclusion of Gender Reassignment Supports benefit - 75% up to €3,000 per lifetime
Inclusion of Psychotherapy and counselling benefit - €40 per visit, 7 visits per renewal year
Inclusion of Child developmental assessment benefit - €250 per lifetime
Pre and Post Natal benefit will increase from €350 to €450 per renewal year
Psychologist benefit will increase from €25 per visit up to €40 per visit (7 visit limit per renewal year still applies)
Inclusion of Flu Vaccination benefit - €20 per renewal year
Please note members insured on PMI 06 10 will also receive the new Digital Health Services and Vhi 360 Health Centre benefits (changes 1 & 2 listed above) effective 01st May 2022, i.e. they don’t have to wait until their next renewal date.
